What do I do? What is wrong with us?
i just read on yahoo answers that a man normally wants to start a family way after a woman does. especially if he is younger than u r. well my man is nine year older than me. we have been seeing eachother for nine year off and on (out of the nine yreas we have been together about 6 years give r take a lil bit) i am ready to get married and have a family. WHAT IS WRONG WITH US? he has an 11 year old daughter and has been having issues with her mother and that sort of thing but i have been there with him beside him through it all and i am scared that he may never marry me r have a family with me. WHAT DO I DO? we r crazy about one another and we r so in love it is just wild that we havent gone anywhere with our realtionship yet. i am past ready. i dont want to sound like a kid but do u have an advice that may help me to feel better about what i am dealing with? i dont want to pressure him into doing anything cuz i dont want him to reject me in the long run. So please if u have any advice please share it with me. Thanks in advance

…and that pretty much gave me the answer. How do I know? I went through a pretty similar situation. My son’s now 20 but let me tell you something. The entire time he was growing up, I was afraid to get involved with someone else and absolutely refused to have any more kids because I didn’t want to deal the the potential of THAT relationship breaking up and having to be an absent father with a nasty ex-wife TWICE.
I hope that makes sense to you. BTW, I did end up getting married again and am incredibly happy in that relationship. But we agreed that we wouldn’t have any children together.
